Food Manufacturing businesses must ensure that employers are sufficiently trained in food hygiene matters in order to guarantee the production of safe food. The Level 1 Manufacturing training course covers:

• the importance of food safety

• awareness of food safety hazards and how they can be prevented

• the importance of personal hygiene

• the importance of cleaning and disinfection

Who needs this qualification?

• New employees with minimal food safety knowledge

• Employees handling low-risk or wrapped foods

• Back-of-house employees


This award is assessed by a multiple-choice question examination.
