Each month our clients undergo audits to confirm their compliance to standards such as BRC Storage Distribution, BRC Food, SALSA, STS Public Sector or any client specific standards.
In the last few weeks we have assisted a number of our clients with successful audits…
Fresh fruit, vegetables and fine foods supplier, Sheringhams, passed their BRC Storage and Distribution audit. Sheringhams have a fleet of over 40 refrigerated vehicles delivering fresh produce and dry goods to clients in the south east on a daily basis, their BRC Storage and Distribution certification demonstrates their dedication to food safety and quality standards.
Similarly another fruit, vegetable and dairy supplier, Covent Garden Supply, passed their BRC Storage and Distribution to standard audit with an excellent result.
A globally recognised standard such as BRC is highly valuable in providing customers with confidence in the quality of your produce.
At the start of February, BRC implemented Issue 3 of their BRC Storage and Distribution Standard, details of which you can find on our previous Issue 3 S&D blog post. Our first client to undergo an audit against Issue 3 of the S&D standard was House of Westphalia, a specialist importer and wholesaler, who passed with flying colours achieving an AA grade.
In some cases, clients can be required to undergo audits as a part of their customers’ supplier approval management. These audits can be conducted against a range of different standards, chosen at the customer’s discretion. Our client, Wet Fish Uk Ltd, were asked to undergo an audit against the STS Public Code of Practice standard to which they successfully passed. As well as guiding clients to compliance, we also offer a service of Second Party Auditing, for any business looking to gain transparency on the standard of their suppliers.
